Can you drink ozone water?
I drink 2–3 glasses of ozone water every day. While my machine is not a super high end ozone generator,
I do know that it works as I’ve made several videos testing it out on my website. And yes, I do drink it immediately after my machine is done ozonating the water. If you like pure water, you may want to look into an ozone generator, there are affordable ones out there.
The one I use in my test videos only costs 70 bucks and works great for me!
I have drunk some bottled water right off the line, with 0.6 ppm dissolved. I got a bit of a stomach cramp, my throat a bit sore, but other than that, I had already lost most of my hair.
Most bottled water has been treated with ozone, to sterilize the bottle and contents, to extend the shelf life. But there is no ozone left in that water before it hits the distribution truck.
There is no health benefit from consuming ozone in water via drinking, just like there is none breathing it, just like there is none applying ozone directly to your blood or plasma.

What is ozonation water used for?
Ozone treatment of water does not produce water with residual ozone in it.
The half-life of ozone in water at the point of the gas’s creation and immediate introduction to the water designed to purify the water,
is a matter of an hour or so, or even less depending on temperature and concentration of unwanted,
generally organic impurities and microorganisms.
Any residual ozone that is not involved or required by reaction with unwanted contaminants, breaks down to oxygen and when reacting with organic molecules, including microbes, reacts to produce CO2.
The answer to your question is largely about improving the potability of water consumed by the public either from mains water, or bottled water.
Although strictly against the Bottled Water Regulations for natural Spring Water,
ozone is used by some bottling companies to maintain low bacterial counts in the end product as well as destroying trace, unwanted organic chemicals.
Unless a factory inspection is made it would be virtually impossible to prove that stored bottled water was purified using ozone based on chemical analysis of the bottled water.
The ozone is generally produced in-situ and because of its instability, giving it powerful germicidal properties, is immediately fed into the water supply just prior to bottling.
Because ozone (O3) is a powerful oxidising agent — in fact, so powerful it is treated as a toxic chemical to humans and animals in its ability to attack mucous membranes — it is unwise to use this gas to destroy microbes on fatty foods because of the formation of off-flavours caused by rancidification (oxidation) of the fats present.
Rancid fats give rise to an objectionable flavour that destroys the enjoyment of foods so degraded.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency,
exposure to ozone levels of greater than 70 parts per billion for 8 hours or longer is unhealthy!
It is a non-toxic zero residue disinfectant wash for fruits and vegetables that can be generated on premises. It remains active for only about 30 minutes and leaves only Oxygen as a byproduct. This can reduce the chances of bio contamination reducing food borne illnesses.
Is ozonated water good for health?
Great question! I’ve made several videos on my website about ozone generators. While I myself do NOT drink ozone water for it’s supposed health benefits.
I have received many comments on my youtube videos from others who claim
it gives them more energy and one person said they use it to maintain and prevent their gout issues! (see video below) This really surprised me as I’ve never heard about ozone water helping to relieve gout symptoms.
I drink ozone water for the taste and because I want pure, sterile water.
I don’t claim it to give health benefits but if you check out some of the comments on my videos,
you will see others who make those claims!
But I recommend you do your research, and then try for yourself!
